Ask five suppliers how long delivery takes and you will get five confident numbers, none of which appear in the contract. We do not publish one, and it is worth explaining why — because the reasons are the same ones that will affect your own planning.
What we can say without qualification
Goods leave Kocaeli by road. One truck, one border regime, no transhipment and no waiting for a vessel. For the Balkans that is a structural advantage over sea freight, and it is the reason a trial load is even practical: you are not paying container economics to test a market.
The five things that move the date
- **Which border you clear.** The regime differs between EU members and free trade agreement countries, and your broker's queue is not the same at every crossing.
- **Your paperwork, not ours.** The set travels with the goods, but the origin document has to match what your broker filed. One mismatched line adds a day.
- **What is on the line when you order.** Height and colour mix decide production sequence. A single-height order and a six-height order do not have the same lead time.
- **Season.** Spring is when every landscaper in the region orders at once. Ordering in February for April is a different experience from ordering in April for April.
- **The delivery term you chose.** EXW ends our part at the works. DAP means we own the problem until your yard. The same physical journey, two different promises.
Why the offer is the only honest place for a date
Once the route, the border and the height mix are fixed for your shipment, the date becomes a real commitment and we put it in writing. Before that it is a guess, and a guess published on a website has a way of becoming the number a customer quotes back to you at the worst possible moment.
What to ask your forwarder
- Which crossing are you planning, and what is the current wait there?
- Is the origin document I need A.TR or EUR.1 for this destination?
- Do you want the goods on standard trailers, and what is your capacity per load?
- Who calls whom if the truck is held at the border?
Practical planning advice
Build your first order around a date you can defend to your own customer, not the earliest one anybody promises. Then order the second one before you run out, because the difference between a good supplier relationship and a bad one is usually visibility, not speed.
